Finally someone who knows what the hell their talking about...

I cant take the credit for hitbox mesh and heatsource ideas. Those are theories (backed up with facts though) that a member of PlanetBattlefield forum user came up with. Im just connecting the dots, as I said. The picture is ugly, yes, but it can still be fixed so itll work for everyones enjoyement, OR works equally for everyone. In joy or in despair

J10s heatsource is deep within the body, with hitbox mesh rear design pushing missiles off with no lock. This is also supported by missiles relatively small lock-angle. You wanna know why Sir Blades method works? Its because the missiles impact with the hitbox mesh at a near 90 degree angle, thus no deflection. Connect the dots gentlemen, stop proposing ideas that a child would think of and try put some effort into thinking.

Ah.. Well we've now officialy got a 19 Page bitching thread were at the 19th page still aren't videos. Please guys if there aren't going to be any videos then just remove this thread.. I think everyone in this thread finally wants to see those videos..

Well SMOKEJUMPER has vanished so you probaby won't be seeing that video. But if you want a video of me going 95-0 fragging boats on Wake you're more than welcome to it.

PlaneWhore, comeon, dogfighting footage isnt hard to make, especially when dogfighting footage itsself is just a demonstration of skills and techniques. Just record every dogfight you make for a healthy 20-30 minute material and youre set, please.

Yeah I agree, but I still like to see a metallicaguitrst vs. Planewhore match or something on video. Just to see yoru different flying styles. What you guys do different. I am sure alot of people here would like that.

Yeah that would be great to see, I've got my cash on PW. Only flown against him once and it's not very fun, believe me. The crap he pulls off is insane, and I can tell he's trying harder against J10's than while he's in one.

I agree with what your saying Chris but EA have faffed about so much and very often make matters worse. I simply want a transparent solution that everyone understands and defo not another tweak to the AA.

It would solve the problem for me as I stated I can always get something on a J10. Ok if the pilot is that good it isn't going to work but then 1.12 won't work either if he's that good.

No, this will NOT help and heres why.

First of all, jet inbalance. You want a jets armor to be lowered just so you could use your own set of tactics. Like PlaneWhore proposed cannons-only for all jets. Thats bull. Gentlemen, think straight. Youre thinking like an average AT soldier, that one shot should be enough, just because a tank is all big and sh!t.

The reason why J10 is fvcked up is simple, and THAT needs to be fixed, not some suggestions that create more problems than need to.

No disrespect guys. Just saying that this kind of problem is considered as a bug, and thus a simple armor change wont cut it, if the real problem is that one jet cannot get hit by missiles and other one can. You understand what Im saying?

Yeah, even when I'm right behind a J-10 and he's heading straight no flares and whatnot, I'll fire off a few missiles but they just bounce right off the plane

If they just keep it how it is, but take off half of the J-10's armor..


It would be fairly balanced, but still, if a J-10 gets behind you, he has the huge upperhand.

But if you can get 1 missle on him, he dies.

Sounds fair... cause it is really hard to get a missle off on the J-10's... like 1 out of every 4-5 missles hits.. if shot right.

Reducing armor really wont solve the problem.

I don't often meet a J10 pilot that I can't get something on him, it would solve the problem for me anyway.

Sounds to me like metallicaguitrst would be overpowered in the F35 as a result.
