yeah it unplugs randomly and I havent been able to get a new one cause Im in Ecuador. Hence I havent played for the past 2 weeks.

You know what would be fun? since I finally got my FRAPs working Im gonna clip together every single kill against a J10 I get from the time I get my new joystick for 1 month afterwards. That would be pretty kickass.

4 rounds going 80-95 to 0 FRAPSed in a J-10, 20 gigs of video, about 4 cheating accusations later and I still have yet to generate what I'd worthwhile footage. Great scores but nothing is overly remarkable about the footage itself with nobody locking missiles on me, no excessive F-35B destruction and no opportunities for precision bombing. Pretty much 100% of the kills come from helicopters, boats and blasting the uncaps with cannons (not that surprised me or anything..). My F-35B rounds proved equally fruitless as it pretty much consisted of me blasting down a clueless J-10 pilot, base camping the J-10s a bit and then getting shot down by a J-10 who caught me at a bad time.

In fact 400+ kills later I've only killed a couple F-35B because I'm having some serious difficulty finding them during the rounds. I'll maybe see them once a round and shoot them down and that's the last I'll see of them (where they go is anybodies guess but I don't blame em). They don't bother attacking me (metallica excluded) and they don't put up a good chase either (not that you can run from insta-kill missiles).

Finding a decent server has also become a serious pain as most servers I ping low on run maps like Karkand and other less desirable/off topic maps like Zatar Wetlands ect. Overall this footage has been proven to be a real pain in the a$$ but I promised to deliver and I will deliver. However if you want to see a 90-0 game full of me destroying boat after boat and raping the uncaps you're more than welcome to it.

I'm going to take a break and try again a little later.

Unfortunatly can't do it an Insomina Wake just too many flamers on that server. So many in fact any round on that server is the furthest thing from a "real" round because 100+ kills is too easy with all the people camping planes. Had about 10 people running for the J-10 which makes it difficult enough but then to make matters worse if you do get inside a plane you're going to get M95'ed out. So I'm still looking for a decent server and hopefully I'll turn up one. I don't care if it's Wake or Dalian Plant or Dragon Valley it just has to have the J-10 and the F-35B.

Hehe I could tell that was you instantly when 10 seconds in to the round I had someone firing cannons at me... you've definately improved. Once you fight another pilot you never forget their piloting style. That never happens to me normally but if you didn't notice I was throughly rusty but even then my trusty never miss J-10 missiles did the trick. I kept searching for you but all I managed to find was the other F-35B who was shot down in about 3 seconds flat every time a few times that round.

Impressive effort though for a lowly F-35B and you certainly kept me on my toes.

Yeah I agree, but I still like to see a metallicaguitrst vs. Planewhore match or something on video. Just to see yoru different flying styles. What you guys do different. I am sure alot of people here would like that.

You know, Sir used to be make these dogfight events. I have no idea why they have stopped, but it happened somewhere after 1.2 patch release, and I havent heard of them since.

Yeah but its good as a community watch. I like to watch things, and learn tactics. I am a fairly decent chopper pilot. Chopper Vs Chopper I usually win. My main arguement though is that the game has imbalences. I can see why Sir. Community stopped producing these videos. However some people have developed tactics, and we may have to live with the J-10 and F-35 the way they are. I have heard of metallicaguitrst tactics, but I never really seen some of them. I'd like to see a video of him in the plane, and maybe planewhore.

They're the same exact tactics I use. I won't deny though that it's clear that he's been practicing because he excutes them better than I do (I spend so little time in the F-35B). It basically all revolves around the superior roll speed of the F-35B. You pull up on your stick and once you've looped backwards180 degrees and your belly is facing the sky you rotate the plane on the other axis 180 degrees and pull up again till your belly is facing the sky and roll again. Rinse repeat this 2, 3 or 4 times till you've reached the maximum ceiling altitude and then use the high altitiude to get that "ultra" speed boost with your afterburners (can go like 3000-4000+ in an F-35B) for a speedy high altitude escape.

It's anything but easy to do well but it's about the only thing you can do as an F-35B to lose a good J-10 pilot. That's how Metallica survived so long with me looking for him because once I spotted him I'd chase him up in to the sky but i'd be a bit behind him and once you hit those high altitude airplanes have a tendancy to vanish in the fog very easily and then can bolt off going 2x or 3x the normal top speed.

Yes. lol I saw plenty of opportunities to kill you with cannons.... but I was a little too far, or another J-10 was behind me or something. lol

But I have gotten alot better at escaping J-10's if you noticed

                      ahhhh FFS!

When I got kicked for getting like... 4 TK's on accident...

It counted as a DEATH!.... so now I only have a 60:1 ratio
So if the J10 had a third of the armour it has now?

Reducing armor really wont solve the problem.

Nah... well I am getting better surviving.. like planewhore said, the average J-10 won't shoot me down if I am actively running from it, unless I am doing something stupid, and I just want more kills.. you know the situation. lol...

And of course, if you are out of flares, out of afterburners, and a J-10 is NOT right behind you, but rather just inside locking distance... just bail.. cause you WILL die. Either that or stay in the jet so you will die and go back to the carrier.

Where you are about to get a ton of kills, you see a J-10 behind you... he gets a lock.. you just say "**** it" and go for the kills and die. lol

I don't often meet a J10 pilot that I can't get something on him, it would solve the problem for me anyway.

Sounds to me like metallicaguitrst would be overpowered in the F35 as a result.

                              Actually...

Reducing the J-10's armor would help...

If they just keep it how it is, but take off half of the J-10's armor..

It would be fairly balanced, but still, if a J-10 gets behind you, he has the huge upperhand.

But if you can get 1 missle on him, he dies.

Sounds fair... cause it is really hard to get a missle off on the J-10's... like 1 out of every 4-5 missles hits.. if shot right.

Yeah, even when I'm right behind a J-10 and he's heading straight no flares and whatnot, I'll fire off a few missiles but they just bounce right off the plane
