Accuracy doesn't matter in a game like BF2. No matter what class you are you have to give covering fire. Plus when you aren't a sniper it takes more then a few shots to kill a sniper with a less accurate weapon. Plus some things are less accurate because of glitches like when I knife a guy he starts to leak sand but he isn't dead even though I hit him. A ton of times my nades didn't hit the target. When I'm bored I shoot things that blow up like that gas cans and stuff. Especially in tanks and APCs where I can shoot those wood fences blocking entrances. Mine is like 16% I think lol.

I know if you fire your sniper rifle at a vehicle of any sort that has someone in it that counts as a hit and your accuracy will go up. Not sure if that is true with the other guns.

i did have an account quite awhile back which had 400% accuracy. got it from simply being commander and getting arty kills only. woot! then i started shooting on it....

This is an interesting topic if u really get into it.. My accuracy is a tad over 25% . The guy that i play with has accuracy of about 20% which is significantly less than mine. Nevertheless he's got a K/D thats way better than mine which just goes to show that this game is not just about whos got the best aim.

He's just so smart that he never tries his luck if the odds are against him. Usually he attacks enemies from such good cover that he wins even if he misses a couple of shots.. This gives u a lot to think about :S

Due to the random deviation, the guys with the best accuracy are the ones that fight in close quarters (we´ll at least with most of the weapons).
In my clan there is a guy with over 30% accuracy with assault rifles and his k/d ratio is 1.6...
I had a nick that I deleted that my accuracy with assault rifles was bellow 15% and my k/d ratio was above 2.

I think your accuracy does matter but I wouldnt worry much about it if its not high. I often like to go head to head with the enemy. Trying to kill each other at 10 meters wont help make a high average but is a lot of fun. Also it increases your skill level especially if you are going to try to kill 3 or more enemy at the 10 meter range, at the same time. Give it a try, youll see its fun. . . . . . . .Red

The funny thing is i spend most of my time dead, so go figure.
