More evidence re: BF3 being MMOFPS

I was in a temporary fantasy yesterday, reliving my planetside days and dreaming of a BF themed MMOFPS set in the BF2142 universe and had dismissed it but then today I saw a news headline from June 20th that I had totally missed until now.

EA is buying/merging with Mythic Entertainment... makers of one of my favorite games, Dark Age of Camelot!

At Yahoo Finance, you get free stock quotes, up-to-date news, portfolio management resources, international market data, social interaction and mortgage rates that help you manage your financial life.

If the EA crew puts some of Mythics developers in charge of an MMOFPS project, I have little doubt that it would kick ***.

Had you heard of this news? I somehow missed it...

Would you play a BF themed MMOFPS? I think the prospect is very interesting...

hmmm, if they could release a game that didnt get new bugs with every patch then i might consider it. They would have to re design a lot of things to make the game balanced (i.e. bunny hopping etc, have aircraft balanced unlike the j-10 v f35 jsf etc).

        more like 2,000.

Planetside had 3 armies and when a continent was population locked (one battlefield) it had somewhere around 750 people on it.

Well thats nice, but as EA can turn the best developers into pure **** (BF2), then whatever they are working on it won`t be as AWSOME!#¤!"#¤ as you think

And as EA wants a lot of money, i bet the cost will be fuken high+ the monthly fee

But, I don't see EA telling DiCE they have to collaborate with a different software house on making a future title. I still love the idea of having a much larger battlefield. Esp if we could get something like Tour of Duty with 200 vs 200, oh, the possibilities.
