I read the very informative thread on the history of battlefield, and I thank the poster.

To fix our beloved battlefield, we need to return to version 1.12. Then we request that aa be pumped up, along with support weapons, and stop right there. This is the point that the game was most skillfull, and enjoyable.

I don't see that happening, they would need to retool 1.12 because of AF and EF so we would still need to wait for another patch of some kind.

Would be brillant, OR try to rip off the Desert Combat mod for 1942 even more, then it will be a more even balanced game.

If what I have heard is true, then the guys formerly of Trauma Studios, are no longer EA/DICE employees. The info going around is that they were let go shortly after BF2 was released due to "creative issues". The rumors go even further and pin the firing to the initial development phase of BF2142 or sometime around Dec. 2005.

I have no proof and a rumor is a rumor. Just the scuttlebut one catches along the fringes.

Yeah Trauma Studios is developing a complete seperate game. I am gonna buy it over Bf2142!

Did you play 1.12??? I think they sold most coppies of the game, and had the most game play during the 1.12 time frame.

Yeah, it has been so dumbed down now, it is no fun to play it. The transport choppers NEVER get used now.

I don't think you can attribute that to that particular version. All games go through a normal life cycle.

The BH is dead

the BH isnt a gunship and never will be, I admit the side guns are significantly less powerfull than they were but thats not the primary focus of what the BH is supposed to be utilized for. I use the BH all the time to tranport my troops in and out of a battle, they do HALO drops out the sides of it as I hover 500meters up providing a spawnpoint for them.

Just because you cant score uber-l33t points with it know, doesnt mean it is dead.


though I admit an easier solution to the BH problem would have been beefing up the guns for the other Transport choppers, but its to late know....
