How do i unlock the different weapon kit's? im new to bf 2 so im just wondering?

a screen will pop up after u disconnect from the server

I'm assuming you are really new to BF2 (sorry for accidental condescension):-

First of all you have to play on ranked servers to acquire points, then when you have acquired enough you get to rise in rank and also get to choose a weapon unlock:-
