    Lag when turning/moving around

Ok I am totally hosed. I am going to Quakecon today, where last year we played bf2 for 4 days straight. Thinking I should have a clean system, I formatted and reinstalled over the last weekend. Problem is that now when I run the game I get really bad freezing/lag in the game. This happens when I am looking around with the mouse or moving, and it's as if the mouse stops responding I will continue running in whatever direction I was heading, unable to turn for about one second or so. It's maddening!

I have tried the Battlefield tweak guide, I have turned down settings, deleted the shaders, defragged the hard drive, everything I can think of, but the issue remains. Problem is I seem to remember having this same problem when the game was released, only I don't remember what the fix was. Here are my specs:

    Shuttle SN25P, Nforce 4
    Athlon 64 3200
    1 gb ram
    geforce 6800 GT
    72 gb sata raptor
    300 gb sata seagate

    XP Pro
    bf2 v1.3 + AF

I really hope someone has seen this before and can help, otherwise I will be playing cod2 all weekend please!!!

    Re: Lag when turning/moving around

Have you increased your process priority for bf2.exe to 'high' by any chance?

If so, put it back to 'normal'.

No I didn't change the priority. I will check it though. This is with the new nvidia 9.1.3.1's btw.

Ahh...I had problems with the 9X drivers and I reverted back to 84.21 and I'm awaiting the next stable 9X release.

So you're sure you're not using a modified shortcut or batch file that might include an increased priority command line argument?
