Im desperate... I will take any help you guys can give me.

So the title says it... you all are my last line of defense. Also just to note... I read every thread with this problem but none of the fixes helped me.



Im having that classic problem of starting the game... game logo comes up... game hits a black screen and crashes to the desktop. Ive been told time and time again my system is more then capable of handling the game (I will post specs at the end). So this really baffles me. Easy info has a ! in a bubble around my

NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800 GTX

Saying the compatilibty is unknown. I have updated the video driver about 3 times now. I also did a complete uninstall and clean reinstall around 3 times.. I have never got past the black screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this problem even before I installed patch 1.3. Now maybe my game already had 1.3 im not sure. But I have never got past that black screen.

did u use an incremental patch? or did u reinstall bf2 and use the 1.3 full patch

Standard advice of the defrag and/or re-install XP. Sometimes works

I reinstalled and then installed the 1.3 patch straight from EA in a link they gave me when I was talking with tech support on the EA website. Just for the hell of it until someone who said they would help me is on aim or anyone here has anything for me to try im going to uninstall it all again and reinstall.

Patch and everything installed without a problem... Still same stuff happening. I really dont know what to say about it anymore.

I had this same problem on my dads computer its a Amd atlon 64 and when we installed the new video card, we had to do something but I can't remember. I'll ask my dad tomorrow after he gets home from work (will be around 4:30) so hopefully I'll have the answer then :)
