Did I lose my promotion?

I was playing SF for a while and a message told me that I got promoted to Sergeant, along with some cheerful music .

Right after that, I quit the server to see what's up. I went to BF2 HQ and my rank was the old one. My global points didn't rise a single point.

Did I do something wrong by exiting the game in the middle of the match or does the BF2 HQ take time to update?

EDIT: Even my SIG didn't update. I hope to god that my sig relies on BF2 HQ.

Just give it time to update mate it should be done by tomorrow .
