We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
When I join an online server I instantly get kicked by punkbuster for inadequate O/S privileges. I have tried the vx2finder as suggested by evenbalance.com and no joy. Have also downloaded and run spybot s&d and no joy.
Well just to make sure find the shortcut for BF2.
Right click
Select Run As
Click "The Following User"
Use "Administrator"
Type in a password if need be.
If you are positive it is on a administrator account, and you are still having the problem, then go to evenbalence.com / punkbuster.com and reinstall PB.
I got this exact same problem just as I had sorted out the one other major one. I am confused because I added a simple password for my Administrator account today and now I am getting this error.

still stuck on the inadequate
Have you made sure you are running on the admin account? Have you reinstalled PB? Have you tried editing the BF2 shortcut?
Do your self a favor and leave computers at work or school alone before you corrupt something and then get yourself into hot water...you BF2 junkie....
Just kidding.
by the way...when you install BF2, the profile that you install on, also has to be the profile you play on.
