does anyone know how to optimize a dual core processor for windows and bf2? im having performance issues with my new CPU

Whould you mind showing us your specs. It might be your vid card that effects ur performance and by the way BF2 does not support dual core try disabling one core it might increase your performance

right click bf2 and goto properties and set afinity to 1 that turns a core off for the game i think:p

did u shut down one core as we suggested and also download the 91.33 drivers for ur video card + latest drivers for your mobo,processor,sound card and so on.

I think he wants to know how to optimize dual core for bf2....but the answer to that...you cant. Do what ikillnothing posted above. bf2 does not support dual core processors.

He is saying that he have performance issues, and i stated that BF2 DOES NOT SUPPORT DUAL CORE, so i am trying to solve the performance issue not optimizing.

I've got the same CPU and it seems fine for me. Had no issues before and after the AMD CPU drivers installed. I'm guessing it's your video card drivers.

I ran the patch and it works wonderfully. F.E.A.R runs awesome and Hitman but im still having performance issues with Half Life 2 so i dont know what to do
