The winning commander gets 2x the average points -tk's

The commander can get gold, or @ least silver, or bronze if he DOESN'T tk

Those tk's cost you medals

I use the arty a little more sparingly these days, if we are ahead, I only drop arty in the enemy rear

In my 400 hrs. commanding I have had less than 10 mutiny votes, & every day ppl REQUEST me to command

Maybe the problem is your team m8's are anonymous, I however play w/ up to a dozen ppl in a TS channel, when I do arty tk someone, even if it is their fault, & they APOLOGIZE TO ME, I feel bad

But you guys are grown-ups, you can do what ever you wish

I just hate to see the "they were stupid, so they deserved to die" attitude from commanders, in my opinion a commander is supposed to watch over, guide, & do his best to protect, the expert players, the average players, & the noobs"

Be a "good sheperd" over your flock

You are the commander, your troops are green kids fresh from the inner cities, & farms

It is YOUR sole responibility not to tk them w/ arty, or any other drop, even if they don't look @ their mini-maps, as it probably won't change anytime soon

Use a larger "safety zone", PERIOD

It is THAT simple

Don't tk your own troops, & "shrug it off" saying they should have looked @ their mini-map:thatsbad:

I ALWAYS apologize for accidentally killin' a team m8 w/ arty (on the rare occasion)

As commander you are held to a higher standard, get used to it, or step down

Lately I have seen some "court marshall" level arty strikes from incompetent n00b "wanna be" commanders

When I see it happen when I am playing, & I am the "ranking officer", believe you me buddy, you will be "relieved of duty", & I will assume command @ the start of the next round

Oh I don't doubt you're a decent commander, based on the posts of yours I've read. I just think it's lame that the game decides who gets to be commander based on rank...not that I have a better idea. Higher rank just means you play more, which doesn't necessarily equal better skill in every case. I guarantee most of the stat padders are awful fps gamers.

Especially now the summer holidays have come.
But yeah i know what its like. U tell them but OH NO they have to go for stats and kills instead of winning the round.

seriously serilabutcher i put it safe but thats wehn every1 decides to get off their butts and stop camping and actaully attck and i tell my squad leads stay back and wait fr ary but its usually those new guys who think ff off means arty to that run in.

Serialbutcher...if that's the case, you wouldn't be able to drop arty anywhere. In my example, I dropped arty where the ONLY POSSIBLE WAY ANYONE COULD POSSIBLY BE THERE was to literally RACE transport vehicles from faaar away to the spot at high speeds.

People are dumb and will find a way.

I know, it makes me so mad when I set arty on a couple enemy squads then I see (like clockwork) my team running full speed towards the flashing red circle. I wonder though if people actually ahve the minimap set to 100% trasparency.

The minimap is such an overlooked aspect of this game, that I feel like I'm cheating everytime I use it.
