"Time to Live" Feature, what is it?

Did a search in forums, but could'nt find this.

Was looking at the BF2 Compare Weapon Tool version 1.30... cool tool btw.

Could someone tell me what "Time to Live" is and how it effects gameplay.

I'm a g36e user and I noticed that it's Time to Live value is double that of many other guns.

also curious about "delay to use" if you can help with that.

    Thanks

you didnt have to make a new topic to ask those questions...

you could have just posted a reply in Harmors topic and im sure he would have got around to answering them,

      Thanks for the help Scinto.
If I had'nt mentioned the tool you never would have said anything.
These are game features that I'm sure many people are curious about, as I am, and as I have been long before I saw the tool thread.

"Time to Live" - my understanding is that this is the number of seconds that a projectile exists in game. If you take the Bullet Velocity and multiply it by Time to Live, that will give you the maximum range of the projectile.

"Delay to use" - my understanding is that this is the number of seconds it takes for you to switch (i.e. press '3'), to and ready the weapon to fire.
