Extreme LAN KC is having the semi-final Battlefield 2 tournament in Kansas City, with the final to be held in Topeka, KS. The tournament is open to all, so grab a team and come down and compete!

Well folks here is the official prize listing for ELKC 18.0:
The tournament prizes will be the same as what I advertised initially. If we go at the assumption we will be reaching the 100 person level we will have the following:
CS:S 3v3 = $300
Quake 4 1v1 = $100
Halo 2 1v1 = $100
Halo 2 2v2 = $200
Halo 2 4v4 = $400
CS 1.6 2v2 = Sponsor prize Ultra - New case for both winners
UT 2k4 1v1 = Sponsor prize Ultra - New case for winner.
COD 2 4v4 = Sponsor prize TBA.
We are going to to give 2nd and 3rd place prizes for the tournaments from our sponsors. I will also have trophies for this event so that will also be something to look forward to.
Now if the event gets to the 100 person amount and we hit the 150 person registered level we will then announce that we have raised the amounts for the cash prizes. So get the word out and lets see the registration hit hard so we can get those prize pots built up even more!
Now we know that our featured tournament is Battlefield 2 right? Well after getting the official scoop from Red Bull here is the prize makeup for BF2 4v4:
1st place - 4 (yes 4!) Xbox 360's not the core but the real deal!
2nd place - 4 17" Acer Flat panel monitors
3rd place - 4 PC version of Prey
The thing is that we are having a semi-final and final tournament only in the Battlefield 2 4v4 tournament and I want everyone to understand how this is going to work. No one will be winning anything at the semi-finals. What we will be giving away to the 8 teams who move on to the Finals a Sling LAN Bag (value $50)! So that means anyone who plays in the finals will get one! The players in the finals will also get a free bus trip to Topeka for the finals and there they will be treated to a night of gaming, food, drinks, entertainment and yes the finals! Wow! Cool huh?! The final match will be in October and everyone who plays in the finals will recieve an official invitation telling them where to meet and park for the bus trip to a secret location in Topeka. This will all be provided by Red Bull!
So get a team together and get signed up as this will be our last event of our Summer of Gaming comes to a close. The charge for this event is $20 if you register and $25 at the door. There will be no tournament fee's for this event and that means you can play in as many tournaments as you want!
