Random Crashes

My BF2 has been crashing lately, it just shuts down and sends me to my desktop like it was never even running at all, I'm running at 2.04ghz on my pro. and 1g of RAM, and havent been haveing any trouble with my Verto GForce 6600 GT, so I dont know what the problem could really be, it normaly crashes right before a game starts, and sometimes in mid-game, if you have any ideas as to why this is happening I would be greatfull for any suggestions at this point.

have you tried a fresh re-install?

it happend twice right after i re-installed due to the 1.4 beta (i didnt copy my bf2 folder)
