verifying client data

this used to only take like 10 secs now its taking me over a minute. is there a way to speed this procces up?

Get 2 gigs, a faster hd, or defrag your current one.

Try deleting your cache folder too

C:\Documents and Settings\Computer Name\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

Yeah to those ideas but it is slower after patch 1.3 came out - you cant deny it!

no delete the file in it with a really weird long name like D{390619ij2uh9 and then when u join another server, it will re-optimize ur shaders i believe

and try updating punkbuster?

Try deleting your cache folder too

Whatever you try - defrag, clean cache, 2G RAM, faster HD, etc - nothing would make "client data verififcation" faster more than, say ... 10%. So, forget abt that... Wait for better days when there will be no such verification...

It happens to me (thanks to 1.3 patch) I can't start playing 10-15 mins because of:

1) Looong login
2) Looong map loading
3) Looong client data verification
4) Crash To Desktop - goto 1)
5) Server Crash - goto 2) or 1)

Boring.

and still it I can save my beard :hmm:

evrything high on version 1.00 just takes 1 miinute and less to load the map and verifying client data

in patch 1.3 it cost 3 times amout of time to load or longer:evil:
