Serious Problem

Alright, I've run into a serious problem.

I modded my version of BF2 to unlock weapons. When I changed it back, it told me I couldn't sign online because my version was modified. So I downloaded the full patch and patched the game. Still, nothing. So I decided to uninstall and then reinstall the game. When I did this, it asked me again for my serial number, which I misplaced. I've been playing the game for more than the 90 day period now and I don't want to spend 10 more dollars for a serial number!

Paying the 10$ fee would be very unfair, considering that I was playing the game for months now. I'm going to be charged /more/ money now? I don't like the idea. Now, I love BF2, but why should I suffer because of a simple mistake? Other games don't charge for lost keys and serial numbers, mostly they just ask for you with a picture of your CD and box/case and an ID card with personal information blocked out.

I am very upset that I can't even use my BF2, it is coming as a waste of money to me now... A game that I cannot play. Can anyone assist me?

just google bf2 serial numbers you might find some there or get it from a freind or soemthing.

If you registered with EA they can send you a new key if you provide them with an EA username/password and other information.

Yes, I would do that, but won't that make my game illegal? I thought EA could shut down your game if they saw you with an illegal serial number.

if you dont want to risk it then dont do it but whatever you do dont pay them 10$ i would probably just ask for a freinds key but try what that other person said first.

Do you know of anyone that has done this? If someone just tells me they have done it and it is fine, I'll be satisfied.

Thats a good buisness. I have lots of CD Keys from my old games. I can just charge 5 Bucks per CD Key :)
