BF2 Stuttering Badly

Im getting constantly 30+ fps, in BF2, I have medium high settings with the specs in my sig, and bf2 is constantly accessing the HDD, which is causing my stuttering.

I have defrag enough already and try the pb_sleep 500 thing with only a minor improvement.

Patch 1.3?

My HDD is a Samsung 5,400rpm with 8mb cache, my desktop with some 5,400rpm 2mb cache did'nt stutter but rather struggled with the GPU in it.

Im on wireless and I only get pings 10-15 higher than when wired, I can also tell my wireless is not the cause of it.

The HDD RPM is so slow you should have atleast 7200 or 10000 rpm and two gb of ram would be better if you can modify your laptop

If you upgrade to 1.5 or 2 gigs of RAM, BF2 can load everything into memory and not use the HD at all. Stuttering should stop then.

Yeah, when I lowered the settings to low-med its gone, I guess ill be needing another gig.
