No. Can't transfer your stats over. But you can choose to have the same account name.

That is just dumb. Basically 2142 is just a mod your paying for then?

I don't think it was that he wanted to know and NO, BF2142 is not a mod.

I have read something (and I wish I coudl remember what it was so I could link you to it) to the effect that something from your current account will be transfered over.

Like, and this is JUST speculation, that your stats will be wiped but you will keep your rank so you won't have to spend time getting all the unlocks. But really, I have no idea.

I doubt they'd transfer accounts over.
The amount of time and hassle it'd create.
There's a lot of rumours going around atm, the only thing I'll trust will be from EA/Dice

BF2142_points_total = BF2142_points + BF2_points.

Not truly applicable. The point system in BF2142 will not be on the same scale as in BF2. Also, the BF2142 engine is NOT the same engine as BF2. There could be porting issues. As far as account names go, maybe.

Equation would become:

BF2142_points_total = BF2142_points + k*BF2_points.

k would be the scaling coefficient or function.

There is a variable, probably simply an int, attached to each account that represents the global score of that player. Simply accessing that int from a different game does not really create any portability issues that I can see.

The engine is not the same. There is a plethora of news/updates from EA/DICE that clearly state that the BF2142 engine is a modified version of the BF2 engine. Modified does not equal same.

It's the exact same engine with additional HDR blooming. I would venture that 90% of the code is based of the original BF2 engine.

yes bf2142 is a mod the gameplay is the same they just took out 3 kits and added new stuuf. i dont think i will get it looks to unrealistic for me.
