I just upgraded my machine and now, right after the woman says, 'Welcome to duty' the game CTD EVERY time. As I wiped my HD during the upgrade, I did a complete install of BF2 and then installed 1.3 full. That being said, the problem happens even with the 1.0 version.
By the way, I upgraded to: A64 4800+ (6.86 drivers) and eVGA 7900 GT KO (reload) using 91.31 drivers
I've done a complete re-install of BF2 after it didn't work the first time and that didn't make a difference.
I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that the 4800+ is dual core. Unforuntately, even if I change the affinity to either CPU0 or CPU1, it still doesn't work.
What is annoying is the fact that other things I have run haven't had problems (Oblivion, AoE3, Photoshop, etc). It certainly seems like there is some odd thing just with BF2.
Any thoughts?
