Help purchasing Euro Forces

Hi,

I've searched through some of the topics on this, and I don't believe I feel confident that some of the answers that have been presented will work for me.

I have a problem purchasing Euro Forces through the EA Downloader. When I go to purchase the game through battlefield2.com using my EA.com account, I get an error "The account name you entered is in use. Please try another account name." on the last screen called Review Order.

First, I have an in game nick "RogueWarrior" that I registered back when the game first came out. I DO NOT want to loose all the hours I've put into this game on this nickname. I believe this is a gamespy id as well (correct me if I'm wrong).

I have an ea.com account that I'm using to purchase this booster pack that is different from "RogueWarrior". People in some of the topics of this problem have stated that you have to "connect" this name with my ea.com account, but wtf do I have to do to do this?

does your gamespy nick match your bf2 username

I think so, when I go to www.gamespyid.com and log in with RogueWarrior it shows me as a gamespy member (this is also my in game nick for BF2).

When I go into the ea.com account information area, I don't see a "Downloads" section. I only see "Member Info", "Billing Info", "Subscription Info", and "My Games".

So I went to register Battlefield 2 in the "My Games" section thinking that maybe I could try to attach my "RogueWarrior" user name to my ea.com account name there, but nothing happened when I registered.

This is too frustrating. I shouldn't have to stumble through any of these steps to get the game, no matter what a "FAQ" says. I guess I'm not going to download this game and give EA my moneys.
