    what is a good fps number

    i have been playing bf2 recently and every time i move my fps drop about 30 fps and i dont understand i usually have 60/20 or 50/20 which isnt that bad but now sometimes i have 30/10 or 20/10 i got the most recent drivers and eveything i play with these setting which i had no problem before with:

    res:1024x768@60hz
    tex high
    light:high
    geo:med
    eff:high
    ds:med(tried turning off same problem)
    dl:med(turned oof as well)
    texfilt:med
    AA:2x

    amd athlon 64 3400+2.2ghz
    1.5 gigs of ram
    ati radeon x1600 pro 512 mb pcie
    500 watt psu

    lower your settings? some maps are jus laggier than others, eg: iron gator.
    the more players there are on the server, the lower your fps too. heat may also make your gfx card slower.

      Im getting about the same as you are with my Mobility Radeon X1600 256mb.

        tried setting to even low still the same problem and ihave plenty of fans

              lol! cant believe somebody even remembers what i posted. omg.
              anyway, if it doesnt affect your shooting and is fluid enough, im sure a little less frames wont hurt, unless u get my 15/66.7
