whidata0.htm, an installation problem

I've been wanting to play bf2 for awhile and finally got around to buying it, again. My first attempt resulted in the same problem I'm having now. My installation "stops" at whidata0.htm, the installation keeps "working", but my CD drive makes no sound.

I've tried manual installation, but that didn't work either, the discs aren't scratched and please don't say swap them in, this is my fourth set of discs already.

Any help is valued.

Edit: I'll try that, despite the fact I don't know what mounting means. Tommorrow I'm planing on clean out the dust inside the box and see if that does anything *crosses fingures*

well if you've tried 4 different cds and its not the cd's then i'd say its your pc. maybe something is wrong with your cdrom? you can try making images of the cds and mounting them w/ daemon tools or alcohal120 ...
