Well, i just recently got Battlefield 2 and i have read alot about ranking and persistent character scoring system. But, now i can not connect to ranked servers. They come up red on my server list and when i try connecting to them it says "failed to connect to server, please check network settings". All the ranked servers dissapear when on my filter i check "same version". Do i have to buy a new version or do something to be able to connect to ranked servers? Would appreciate it if someone would help me out, Thanks.

did u patch the game?
u need Full 1.3 patch
(download the 1.3 full patch which is about 438MB)
note: the patch will take a long time to install like give it at least 35min before freaking out -

the server borwser in bf2 sucs so dont count on the refresh key. manually click on each server to update it after clicking on update server list.
and ya, the patch is huge, will take forever to install.Comment
