I miss the Map Grids that where in 1942/DC. Anyone else miss it?

Maps grids seem somewhat useless. It was good for 42, cause the maps were huge, but I cant see it working here.

Maps grids seem somewhat useless. It was good for 42, cause the maps were huge, but I cant see it working here.

Some people play maps larger than the "official" ones. While adding names to the CPs in a patch was certainly better that nothing, I'd still like to see a grid.

I remeber when there was no names for control points. but i think the grids should be brought back.

nothing is more annoying then trying to tell someone on TS where you are on the map, it was worse before the flags had no names

Yeah, grids was a great thing on 42, I dont know why DICE didnt include it on BF2... It was for sure more usefull on 42 because you cant see enemy tanks or infantry on the maps so you just say to your team "there is a tiger on B5, Heading north", and then you'll see your P-51 bombing those guys :) just neet... Will be cool to have grids back on the game...

was perfect the way it was.

You spot something out (it didn't show it in real time on the map) but the text would say: B-6 Enemy tank spotted. It was much easier to keep track of where things were, when it actually had coordinates along with the spot.

All it took was a little memorizing and you would know which direction was what. Where the fight tends to happen (what block on the map) etc....

on midway you teams talking to enemy saying wheres the US carrier, and some noob on the US would say ooh its in D7 lol, then like every Jap ship goes there and sinks it

indeed, i still play DC . love the maps where you can play with bf42 vehicles.
