The GL is still a formidable weapon. With the lowered splash damage (which I disagree with), you just have to hit your target dead on.

It's deadly against guys in fixed positions and against light vehicles. My favorite GL map is Warlord - firing on the SAS from the tops of the buildings as they race to the back flag is awesome.

They didn't only nerf the GL but the F2000 also. I've said it since long before they nerfed anything that they should put a minimum range on the GL and leave it alone otherwise. Instead it behaves like something out of a cartoon.

The better approach is to remove the GL all together, give the assault kit grenades and a weapon with some power. Both long and short range. The F2000 was pretty good before the nerf. Ofcourse the policy of DICE has become to nerf anything with some bite appart from the most glaring example (J10).

I'm glad I made 100 hours on assault before the nerfs. Now I play medic/sniper/spec ops/support.

As much as I hted the M203 bunny hopping instagib rifles, I also only wanted a min distance to be included.

I'd actually like to see the grenades from the GL be at least as deadly as the hand grenades. As it is now the Medic is a better kit. Grenades are more effective, fire faster, and almost (not quite obviously, but pretty far anyway) as long ranged as the GL, and the same basic rifle. And free revive/heal points.

Give the assault a new designation, Grenadier. and make them useful for indirect fire support.

Give them SOME teeth back.

The GL is totally useless due to its little splash radius. I've seen a support guy took a direct hit from a GL and had like 1/10 health left.

come on, the M203 and other GL's are nerfed so bad, it is TOTALLY USELESS!
I was fine with making the nade bounce, but they double nerfed it by take out out splash damage....if anything it should have same splash damage as grenades...HENCE THE NAME GRENADE LAUNCHER..... (EA/DICE get educated)

i don't see a problem with it. i play it sometimes and i don't have a problem killing people with it. i've see quite a few players killing everthing that moves with one.
