Can't change video settings

Hey fellas I have a 2 problems in the video settings.

1. It does not show me 1440X900 resolution to choose which my monitor supports.

2. When I choose 4X anti-aliasing, I get that "you have to restart...." thing but as soon as I click "OK" I see it is "OFF". Even when I restart the game, I can't get my 4X anti-liasing.

Specs:
BFG 7800 GT
AMD 64 3500
2GB RAM
DFI NF4 Lanparty mobo

ps On Doom 3 and Quake 4 I get that default Low video settings. I can't change video settings there either.

You can manually set the video settings for BF2 by going into My Documents\BF2\Profiles\Defualt\Video.con
