Snipers....
I was an awesome AWP shot in CS...fav weapon, and the AK.

I got my next weapon a while back and chose the sniper rifle. I cant seem to kill on 1 shot, usually 2-3, yet I get taken out easily. Could you guys laydown some basics that help you out?


Also, I can't stand the snipers who run, drop and roll and snipe me 1 shot...I nearly hit my monitor evertime...lol...SO, how do you do that drop and roll as a soldier?

Yeah, theres no one-shot-kill in BF2, due to balance issues. The M95 (.50 cal) penetrates armor, so you can shoot an assault guy, and bring him down to 2 bars of health, whereas if you shot him with an M24 or L96, you would only bring him down to 5 (please correct me if im wrong) bars. The M95 also penetrates armor. You can drop and roll by going prone while going sideways. A good thing to do is to find good cover, and work with a squad, so you can spawn on the Squad Leader and support your squad by giving them cover fire. You can get a stats sig from tehsig.com, or just google BF2 stats sig. Hope i helped you out!

Ha ha, you're a complete idiot! You just hit them in the head. Assault, AT and engy are armoured classes [will get taken down to 5 bars when hit anywhere but head] all the rest will be taken down to 2 with the m95 and the l96a1.

u did help...I will try the drop and roll shortly. And the info on the damge per shot was great...I don't feel so bad when I hit 4-5 of them and they still live.....but with 2 bars....that's sniper TEAMhelp!!
