    Bayonets on small arms

Wouldnt it be a good addition for small arms such as carbines to be able to attach bayonet or a silencer?I know we already have a knife but i hear the knife kills are going to be 2 hit kills now.But a good thrust with a bayonet attached to your rifle should work...

True. Besides modern armies don't use bayonets anymore.

Well, their knives can be attached a la' bayonet. But traditional bayonets (such as from the civil war) have been outlawed by the geneva convention.

Tell that to the Brits in Iraq. The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders killed 35 Iraqis two years ago in the first bayonet charge by British units since the Falklands War.

If they were added I wouldnt mind, though I dont really see the use, we have knive's already why add the same thing again.
If I remember right, the Bf42 Xpack Road to Rome had bayonets, they were cool but just used up space.

Even though each solider is given a bayonet in modern arm'es.
What officer, would lead a bayonet charge against a fixed position with the enemy armed with assault rifles, MG's and is able to call in for air support.

I belive this is the standard M16 bayonet.

Again, in modern armies, bayonets are nothing more than a knife on the end of a rifle.
