Question about running BF2 with dual monitors?

I'm thinking about getting a second monitor... but I'm not sure how it would work if I played a full screen game like BF2. Would the game try to span over both screens (which would be VERY difficult to play) or would it only run on 1 monitor?

My video card is a Geforce 7600 GT CO 256mb if that makes any difference.

my vid card is also a 7800 GT and i have 2 monitors, when running a full screen game, the resolution and color of monitor 2 get kinda wierd and it shifts all your icons on the desktop from mon 1 to mon 2 until you quit the game. what i do mostly is just turn the monitor off or try to position someting in mon 2 like some sort of server monitering system for the dedicated server that i run on my computer while im usually playing on it with a few guys... but yeah so its not big deal, just turn the second monitor off when you go to play a full screen game

By turn off the second monitor, you just mean turn it off via the power button? Or unplug it from the computer?

I use two monitors. The game only plays on one though. Damn hard to shoot stuff when it pans accross 2 screens. I dont have to turn the extra screen off as the game does it for me.
