Deceleration speed is an advantage only if the OpFor jet isnt that good at turning. J10 catches the VTOL engage. Opens lock, waits for flares and smokes the F35B. Thats it. As for strato-run. I usually smoke them when they try that. I engage the lock, if they have shielded themselves with flares, I shoot through flares. One missile is BOUND to hit.

          Re: solution to the j10

If a dogfight is all about missile lock opportunities, then the jet that is able to create more locks, is better. I hope you understand what Im saying. Theres another side to the coin, if a jet has great agility to be good at defensive side of the engagement, its a good positive side to that jet. However, F35Bs defensive capabilities do not match, nor equalize J10s offensive capabilities. Thus, J10 is VASTLY superior to F35B.

Well... add that missile sh!t to that aswell...

EDIT: You have a good idea, playing with ACCEL/DECCEL. If jets had better response to throttle, the dogfights would be different.

i understand, and through our discussions have changed my mind and the original post as far as jet handling goes. the real point of this thread is that metallicaguitrst (bless his sole dispite our differing views) exposed the entire reason that i hate the j10, missiles fly up to it and decide not to hit, now i know its a hitbox thing. honestly if fixed jet hitboxes were the only change made i would be able to defeat any j10 pilot by loytering at high altitude. basically im not saying it would be balanced, but im saying that tactics could win the fight.

Indeed. Agreed. Ive already said my piece about why I think USMC is and should be a side at disadvantage. To make the attack/defend games more interesting.

why is it when a j10 attacks me i deploy flairs and the lock stays but when a mig attacks me the lock goes when the flairs are deployed

olololol because your a bad pilot. if you fly level and drop flares, where do you think those flares go? downwards... so if you dont go down enough you have nothing covering you..

something like this would make it abit better, providing all the other aircraft that have 2 thingys at the back, have a similar hitbox.

a simple soultion to all jets and flying things in the game.... give us portable stingers, they worked fine in joint operations and usually did around 90% damage unless you hit it head on.

arent you assuming that he was flying level? what if he was flying straight up?

whatever..... he wasnt using flares to cover himself. doesnt matter what he was doing, except he was doing it wrong.

which wouldnt do **** to a j10 if its hitboxes remain the same.
