Hard freeze. And I mean HARD.

I know there are some other posts about this, but the resolutions in them don't work for me.

My problem started occuring on Wednsday, July 26th. Any time I attempt to join a server, I get an INSTANT hard freeze (meaning I have to reboot to get out) with the sound repeating into oblivion. The server loading screen does not come up or anything, it is INSTANT. This also happens with Single Player mode, but it happens when I finish loading the map...

I've done a reinstall, I've updated my Punkbuster files, I've deleted my battlefield 2 folder in "My Documents." And nothing works at all. Before the 26th, my game was running perfectly with the CQB mod...

Help would be appreciated.

if youve reinstalled the game entirely, then i must be somthing with settings or drivers of some sort.... try getting all the latest versions for all your drivers (mainly sound and video card drivers mostly) and maybe try to go "safe-mode" with your in-game settings like set everything to the lowest possible setting just to make sure thats not the problem... other than that theres not much i can tell ya.... i hope this helps man...

It might be any of the following:

-Insufficient Power Supply
-Defective RAM
-GPU Overheating
-CPU Overheating

Download and install 3DMark. If your computer has any weaknesses, this will find them.
