  • Help with identifying enemies

    Hi.
    I started playing BF2 about a week ago, and I quite like it.
    However I have a problem- it is hard to identify which soldier is on my side and which is not. After some time of looking at a soldier, I see his name in either red or blue, indicating his side. But
    *sometimes the time it takes for his name to appear is enough for him to shoot me
    *sometimes there are lot's of soldiers around, stabbing each other with knives, and then it is almost impossible to figure out who belongs to which side.

    Is there a way to easily and quickly identify the side a soldier is playing?
    Thanks.

    Red = evil
    Blue = less evil aka friendly

    Use your weapon crosshairs, besides that if they are close enough to you you can see their nametags through the walls and everything else. I dont think it's really tough at all. In addition you have the round mini-map on the upper right side, use it.
    AK's are China and MEC
    M16's are USMC

      Look at the uniform.

        Use the minimap as well. Red dots are bad, and you should eliminate them. Pressing "N" will allow you to zoom to see/separate the dots.

          Be forewarned of the redtag/bluetag glitch. When in doubt, check the uniform. (if you haven't heard of the glitch, it causes some people to have a bluetag when theyre an enemy, and vice versa. If you shoot a bluetagging enemy, dont worry if it says "u[TKed]badguy", you'll still get the points

              In all honesty I have not seen that since 1.3, at all.

                  Yeah, it's around. Seems rather rare, but it happens.
