bf2 was working fine for me ever since i gat it, now out of nowhere everygame i join i have a high ping and i get kicked because of it. Why am i getting high ping i never had it before. and no, im not running any backround tasks.

if your sure there is nothing in the background...

update punkbuster, change the duration it checks from 20 seconds to 500, search the forums for previous posts, its all explained. other than that, could just be down to version 1.3. went through a phase myself of this happening

run some ping tests or trace routes when you are not in BF2 to make sure it is the game and not your system or ISP

is ur internet wireless or is it wired. is it cable or DSL or other? once i know this ill do my best to help
