What should i run bf2 at?

ive tried everything, im tired of flipping to different video settings, sometimes bf2 runs better at higher resolutions then lower ones, its really confusing

Windows Xp
Pentium 4 1.80 ghz
768mb ram at 1066 mhz
evga Geforce 6600 le 256 mb
15'' Dell 1702fp
40gb HDD
80GB HDD
160GB HDD

Low to Medium Settings will work out better for you.
