    How to change the music

    Hi,
I know, there are threads with the same question, but there is no REAL answer in it.
So I ask again, how can you change the music...
I have audacity, (you can change the files to OGG Vorbis) and the music file works, I cant hear them in BF2 but I can hear the files with Win-Amp, ive changed the Mod.Desc but that doesnt work, even if I try to change the map loading music, it doesnt work.
    Can someone help me?

    Thx

Re: How to change the music

I tried and I think it's because the bitrate of the files is different...the bitrate of any of the music files is 112.001 but every encoder I've tried can only encode 112.000 (I've tried more than 10). I think that may be the common problem. Hopefully someone will finally answer this question.

Can people change the music with *.Wav files? Because OGG has some-sort-of script in it... (I can make OGG files thoug, it doesnt work in bf2 but i can hear it with Win-Amp, I use Audacity for it)

No, when you change *.wav files, or *.mp3 files to a *.ogg file it is an empty file, but with Audacity, I can make ogg files, but they dont work when I put them in BF2... (Btw, I put them in my mod, so don't tell me that I cant play online annymore when I change the music file  )

Thank God!!! It finally worked. Download this little bundle.

            http://files.filefront.com/Bf2_Sound.../fileinfo.html

take any .wav file and put it in the folder you just downloaded (given that you unzipped it). rename the .wav file "us_win". click on the "Compile_ogg_for_BF2" batch file. Take your newly encoded us_win.wav file place it in your mod folder, point the mod.desc file towards it (that is if you want it as your menu music) and...Viola! It should work.
