Need to Patch from 1.0

Hey I've just returned from being away for 7 months (USMC) and my BF2 is not updated at all. I tried getting the newest patch but it wouldnt work. I tried figuring out which one I had and then finding the patches i had to download in sequential order but **** just wasnt working for me. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it so my BF2 is now v1.0 I have all the Updates from 1.12 UP but I don't know where to get the patches to get up to 1.12. Help please

If you're doing a fresh re-install of BF2, ALL you need to do it update to v 1.3?

i reinstalled my bf2 and right after downloaded patch 1.3 and it worked great! all u need to do is download 1.3 trust me.

That's one of the few things that Dice/EA got right. The latest patch (full) is all inclusive of any patches before it.

Wow. You ain't kidding! Just throw in patch 1.3 and you're good to go! Now my new PC is complete.

(all high settings - 4x AA, smooth as glass. it's a totally different game!)

Problem for me is that the 1.3 patch is HUGE.It would be much better from my point of view if I could download and install all the patches that have been issued since the first one.I am a complete newbie and I've never even played this genre of game before in fact I only bought it yesterday(28th July) and I must admit although I've been around computer games for years this is the hardest game I've ever bought to get patched .I've been on the EA official site and found it most UNhelpful.I've searched various other places but cannot seem to find the older patches.

Just take the time to download 1.3. You will have less problems in the end, and even if you did manage to find all the incremental patches, you would end up downloading the same amount anyway.

applying all patches since the first one is really not a good idea, The full ones seem to be a lot better

Yes.I took your advice gentlemen and downloaded the 1.3 patch and everything works fine.Thanks for your answers
