wide screen bf2ing

Can someone explain to me how to play bf2 in true widescreen. Iv been playing for about a year now with it in streached mode:cry: , wich only other alternative for me is fixed ratio and that puts black bars down the sides, that
sux to.

iv saw something about editing the shortcut and it was a old poste, but i dont wanna get the ax from pb either for cheating!

1280 by 1024 is 5:4....

will this stop the streached effect? Looks like they are saying its still streched and missing some off top and bottom? Chit, that cant be no better? Maybe a patch will come out for it,,,

there is no widescreen support in bf2. the information in the sticky will let you set a custom screen size, etc, but it is not true widescreen. just look at the mini-map circle, it will usually be oval or distorted.

yea, some of my other games suport wide screen.. it looks great, wouldnt trade my dvi lcd or my battlefield2 for nothing!! but i shure wish they would come togeather on something....
