the 'cockpit free' thread made me think of this...

instead of hijacking that thread I figured I'd fire off a new thred - and get this, one without the use of the word "exploit"

I use the camera key to fly / gun in attack helos with a cockpit-free view.

One thing that gets me is when you switch to TV view, then back to normal view, there is the f'ing cockpit, blocking your view

Would be nice to have it remember your camera preference so when you come out of TV view it goes back to it, instead of the default cockpit view.

I usually keep one hand on the F9 key to switch often when i'm the gunner, mostly to see which way the pilot is pointing the nose so we're looking at the same thing.

Hmm. I use the F key as "coccpit view". Works wonders. I used to use X for rear chase and F for coccpit.

G should also work for you,, try it.

Yer mouse button broken, or something?
                      :p

Yeah, I ment to say it's not bound to anything useful.
Unless you're a pure keyboard pilot, there's no good reason to leave the spacebar (the most functional key on your board) as a fire button... and if you are a purist keyboard pilot YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!!!

YES IT IS! You got a problem with that?!?!?!?!

Not really. I wish the TVGM in servers was like in LAN or SP, where spacebar is actually VERY useful. But setting space for coccpit view for gunner is a good tip, thanks.

oh yea its kinda stupid but just hit C one more time, i got another problem tho, sometimes when I hit c after Ive swiched back from the gunner seat the camera doesnt change to FPS view, it changes to 3rd person view and I have to go through all the cameras to get to FPS camera again
