Anyone else getting constant 'Grenade!!' alerts?

Playing LAN co-op with one other person, BF2 v1.3:

When I am near the other person, I am frequently hearing grenade warnings ('Grenade!!', 'Frag Grenade!!', etc). Not sure why. Haven't seen anything on it in the forums

P4 2.8
WinXP
2 gig RAM

Anyone have any theories?

Maybe because they like to throw nades alot?

Ya, obviously... But this is constant... like every second or two... and only when I'm near the other human player. And, no one else is really around, so it's not just the collective voices of all the bots.

i've heard it a few times. but thats as annoying as hearing the guns going crazy for no reason, even when a player isnt shooting

I thought originally it was a command being triggered over and over, but the player can't announce a grenade (...at least I don't think so). But, I guess it's not that.

Definitely seems like a bug... or perhaps the first one is legit, and it 'echoes' the routine over and over... Donno... Wish I could find a fix.

I'm hearing so much bad stuff about the patches (I'm at 1.3), I'm wondering if I should just re-install and run an unpatched version...
