1.4 dont record stats

ok some people say that RANKED 1.4 servers record your stats,
wellz they dont cous since i applied the patch (a week or so ago) they havent even changed

just thort i should bring this to someones attention

It doesent. I've been playing 1.4 for a week and my points havn't moved. At all.

dont play servers that have jalalabad in rotation.

jalalabad doesnt record stats for sure. that above sentence is my speculation based on many 1.4 games ive played, most of my stats were recorded, some not.

Well the beta1 patch recorded points and was confirmed by EA UK that it was normal as the 1.4 patch needs to be tested with ranked servers (some people will remember the 'progress bar' bug due to the 1.12 patch not being tested on ranked I imagine).

Don't know about beta2 but in reality it doesn't really make a difference one way or another.

At least my stats were updated in Beta 1 playing Kark

Some 1.4 Beta 2 servers record stats. But I have never recieved any points for playing Road To Jalalabad on the same server with Vanilla BF2 maps. Or likewise if you play 24/7 Jalalabad, even when it shows ranked. I am not sure if they are holding these stats or just trashing them.

Also note there is a new beta (or not) version out today.

I think some people are concerned because it may be a bug. If EA say that ranked servers record stats yet one map doesn't seem to then it could point to a problem?

I agree with this totally. Anyway, I asked around and the popular answer is:
It seems that the servers that do not have Jalalabad in the rotation do record stats, while the rest do not.

It's a BETA!

If you're playing 1.4, you are effectively signing up as an unpaid gametester. You're supposed to be looking for bugs and stuff, not worrying about your stats.


(yes, I'm quite sure someone is thinking about banging out a post about how we're all unpaid testers in BF2, but installing the BETA is just a shade different than playing a release version of a live dev game, right?)
