Yes there are, but I can't remember the names of the maps so I'll let someone else tell you where those jets are

yes on 64 Operation Clean Sweep, Gulf Of Oman, Daqing Oil fields, 64 Kubra Dam

Taraba Quarry as well if you have EF

Colony quite rightly points out which maps have 2-seat jets.

The 2nd seat in these aircraft is for laser-guided bombing - as opposed to the pilot who uses dumb bombs. It's a bit like the TV missile on the attack choppers, but much more awesome if done right.

Assuming your pilot is flying well - high and not too fast is my preference - then you'll get a lock signal when you move the cursor over a vehicle on the ground, and you can unleash your ordnance on your victim.

Unfortunately, most of the time your pilot will disregard your presence, and just take you sightseeing instead.

In the best situation you are also using your F keys to view all around the outside of the aircraft in between bombing runs to keep an eye out for the enemy aircraft trying to sneak up behind you. Verbal communications between pilot and bomber are key for this.

It's alot of fun to ride shotgun in the bomber, learn to guide the missile w/o a lock lots more kills then.

the laser guided missle is the most powerfull weapon in the game. yes more so than an artillary shell and TV guided due to the massive splash damage. if u have a decent pilot he will line u up till u get a lock. and u can easliy steal his bombing kills out from under him when he goes into a bombing run. they are also controllable to an extent. ive hit jets choppers etc simply by guiding them. u can wipe out flags of infantry and the best is when u hit the carrier with em. everyone in a 30 ft radius is ashes.

clean sweep has the bomber in all sizes of the map. even 16 player. the rest of the bomber maps have em in 32 as well, but not sure about kubra dam. SU-30 and SU-34 are both kickass, provided the F35's or Fa-18 pilots arent pros.
i cant stand the F15. to slow and unmanuverable even for a bomber.
