How do I patch to 1.4?

I have just reinstalled bf2 then sf then 1.3, do I just install the full 1.4 and I am good to go?

Before you do, be advised it is a BETA patch, not the full official patch which hasnt been released yet and which we are all waiting for.

Do not forget to review the READ ME file included with the 1.4 patch.

Some servers are running it in ranked mode....just read the readme that came with the zip and you'll be able to play both 1.3 and 1.4 .

Just install it over the 1.3 or from a fresh start.
Make sure you have a backup copy of your original Battlefield 2 to play on 1.3 servers.
