Crashing problems getting worse.

I know this is old hat, since it's been discussed quite a bit - at the same time, it just seems to be getting worse. Something needs to be done, it's getting out of hand. With each patch, I've had to decrease my video settings in game. Now with all of the stuttering, 'join' button crashing with patch 1.3, the game is now just getting completely unplayable. I've even recently formatted my hd, but that did nothing.

(FX 55, 6800Ultra, 1.5 gigs corsair ram, SB audigy 2) I know it's not my pc, because this game never used to give me any problems. Like I said, with each progressive patch, I've had to lower settings, and that is just plain rediculous.

Now, every time I play, whether it be the first map, or the fourth, I get a crash and a system reboot. It can be right at the start of a level, or right at the end. It's totally random. I really hope 1.4 fixes this, because I do love this game, despite all this bullsh1t. It's getting harder and harder to love it though...

I have been havign almost every problem you have and decreased performance with each patch (which is a known fact).

i had keep having that problem until i did a full install. with the full patch. problem solved.

Ditto, that's why i don't even bother playing original bf2.

I am getting a lot more 'There is a problem with your connection" lately. I haven't changed a thing.
The other day in Ghost Town it was the start of a new game, I hopped into a tank and the next thing I am flying through the air in a tank. I can't manuever it, just spinning, bouncing off of buildings, going upside down. Man that was weird.

Yeah, unfortunately that isn't usually the answer for most people. I tried that many times...and I mean many lol. Then I just said f#ck it and formatted. What do you know? Same thing. And like I said, it's on their end, they know that it's messed up. I used to not have any (or at least not many) problems playing BF2.

These crash and disconnect bugs are related to the latest punkbuster update. I can't even play anymore as I get a blue screen (without text) and noise in the headphones five seconds into the round.

I think they already have, that is the reason for the beta and the long delay in getting 1.4 out there. People complain about the patches being crap,and you then hear "Why didn't they test it more?". As soon as it takes any length of time, you hear, "Hurry up with the path!".
Seems like an impossibility making anyone happy these days.

I have to agree with the " your connection to server has been lost". I get this a **** load of times now. It also seems like the servers I play on crash more than 3 or more times a day. It's getting to a point that the game is unplayable.
