So yes..i lost my bf2 manual

along with the serial. (god knows why the hell they put the serial on the manual...jesus, what stupid f****** idea.) of course i didn't realize this till i uninstalled it, after i discovered the ridiculously large (512 mb) patch was installing in the wrong drive.
i had 2 installations i guess.
i still have one copy and pasted backup that works, but i tried the method of searching for its cd key and its not there.

urg. the patch isn't installing into this one....so i dont know what to do...
i can play it, but i would rather uninstall everything, because its on my d drive for some reason ( which has like only 2 gigs left, while my c drive has about 50.) help appreciated.
(i dont wanna send ea 10$ for something i have already bought.)

That does not work anymore...... the best way and only way to get a cd key is to phone up ea games in your country... they will ask for the serial number on your cd and then provide you with a cd key, other than that, you will have to buy a new copy:)

All you have to do is have some resonsibility and not lose the manual. How freakin hard is it to lose it anyway? Just keep it in the damn case! This is like the 10th thread ive seen in the past couple months where someone lost thier sh!t.

can u use system restore to when u first installed bf2 and then check the registry for ur cd key

But it's encrypted now anyway...so if he has to re-install, he needs a valid key.

Basically, contact EA for a new key.

i have about 10 games with serials. all of them are on their cd cases except one ( guildwars.)
i was pissed off at bf2 and uninstalled it and figured i could reinstall into c quickly, grabbed the box, looked for it, opened it up, and my friend was here" it's on the manual"
DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE LOSE MANUALS?
do you know how many people lose cd cases?

HOWEVERL : i tried that method, its not their, because i renamed and deleted the EA folder, but i can actually play the game, on 1.22-1.33 patch it says i think.
problem is new patch won't install there. : /

i dont use system restore
it has never ...ever...worked when i've needed it to.

Note to future posters: As soon as you install a new game, just use a Sharpie to write the CD Key directly on the install CD, so you can lose as many manuals as you wish.
