Is it possible to shoot the MEC chopper on sharqi with a TOW from hotel? Because this very high ranked player 1 star general I think kept doing it. It hit me same spot every time and and he shot it before I even got in.

Re: TOW in sharqi
Yes. It is possible to shoot down BOTH helicopters with the TOW and the seated anti-air missle by the bottom part. YOu can shoot down I repeat BOTH helicopters with them. There is a video on these forums somwehre. Probably on you-tube too.
This is the biggest exploit, right behind the Hotel glitch right now.Comment

Give me a break.
1. It takes skill and practice to pull off.
2. Last time I checked you can destroy AA and TOW stations.
By the way I haven't attempted to do it. But If I had someone do it to me, I certainly would not cry glitch and I definitely would do something about it.
Using the tow in this fashion is nothing like glitching the game mechanics to get inside a building.Comment

Re: TOW in sharqi
Thats like saying pixels shots with a tank is a glitch. Which really says the whole BF2 engine is one big glitch.
Ive done it in pubs, hit both choppers, had a good laugh when they started cussing me. One guy drove around in a Vodnick and tried to hit me with the 50 cal, so I turned and TOWd him too. Then when back to the chopper. Sadly, the chopper was able to get into the air, but the idiot flew low and straight to me, so he ate another tow. But I guess i was glitching, damn, remove my stats... You dolt.Comment

Any time you own a "leet chopper expert" they start whining and bitching about it. Heck, I had a tool on Sharqi accuse me of cheating b/c I kept shooting down his chopper with the upgun on the Humvee.Comment

The first person to do it took practice and imagination.Originally posted by evilzucchiniSkill? LMFAO!
It doesn't take skill to find the right pixel and fire at it and then drop the cannon. There is little to no skill involved with it.
If you are on a server doing it you often times will have to keep an eye out and defend against enemies at the same time as trying to wait for the copter to spawn to hit the right timing. It's situational. And in the right situation it can take quite a bit of skill.
But I know, everything is easy to Leet Zuchini's.

I agree, though the travel distance of the TOW is longer the the TV Missle, which is strange, but not an exploit.Originally posted by PhenomenomenonGlitch?

Practice, no doubt. However "imagination," not really. Pixel shooting has been around for quite some time in FPS.Originally posted by PhenomenomenonThe first person to do it took practice and imagination.
The actual act of firing the gun takes pretty much no skill, just practice. If you need to clear the area before hand of enemies, that takes a different type of skill. Watching for the chopper to go down takes another type of skill. Firing the gun at a point and dropping the cannon takes literally no skill. If you are on a server doing it you often times will have to keep an eye out and defend against enemies at the same time as trying to wait for the copter to spawn to hit the right timing. It's situational. And in the right situation it can take quite a bit of skill.
*yawn* Where did I talk myself up at all? I am not being arrogant here, I am just pointing out that pointing the gun at a fixed location and shooting the cannon is not a skill. How can you possibly consider that 'skilled?'But I know, everything is easy to Leet Zuchini's.Comment
