  • Armored Specialist...

Can't seem to get this ribbon, tried a ton of times. I can get the kills easy, one round I had 30+ kills, but I don't have the 20 minutes, the round isn't lasting long enough. I don't see the point in the 20 minutes, why not make it 10, most people can get it in 5-10 minutes.

Yeah I just looked that ribbon up n BF2 Player, I don' realy play in armour in SF, but I guess I'll have to go after it eventually. Rounds in SF can be very short your right, going to be a challenege to get this one.

That ribbion is very easy to get in SF.

Just be commander, arty the ^%$# out of the other team in warlord as Insurgent for about 20 minutes or so while gaurding your assets as an engineer in the APC. That was how I got mine. I think it was the first week I got the game too.

There are some servers with 64 player maps and 16-24 people making for a slower paced battle.

Now some of the other ribbions are very hard for me to get.

I guess that is a way to do it, but its kind of detrimental to the team, instead of using it properly, your sitting in it at the back of the base commanding, instead it being used on the front lines where it would be most useful to the team.

Warlord is a good place to get it. Play on the British side, and after a couple flag caps, no one will bother spawning at the main base anymore, so every time you die, jump back in the armor and head back up to the front lines. Thats how I got mine. A guy rode in with me while I was mowing the opposition down and got his crew specialist easily.

Well, it was very useful that day because enemy armor and spec ops were coming in from the front and over the back wall. I had some assistance but the mobility of the APC allowed me to survive that little battle, that and a few mines for the tankies coming in from the captured Palace Security.

In between Palace problems I maintained the team's UAV, supplies and hit the bases that needed hitting with the Arty.

Crew specialist? You have to stay on the LAV or tank with someone else as a driver the whole time?

A good tanker or APC guy can rack up 20 kills in about 5-6 minutes. Then all you need is a special ability point (the gunner should be engineer, supply or medic anyway), and 10 kills of your own. If you are riding with the guy for that long, you may as well join the squad, then talk over VOIP and let them know you are trying to get the ribbon, so they will be a little more active in assisting you (sometimes). If you have a buddy that you play with, and he is halfway decent, this shouldnt be a problem.
