yes, although the real wake is almost flat, they added some height to it, and the second runway from the bf42 version is still visible, but not useable

That is from the Pacific Theater in WW2 (as in, real life). You guys didn't know this was a real world location?

Sry I'm a bit of a WW2 history buff, so i guess i should be less forgiving.

btw, that water in the dead center looks like a great place to sit on a float and put back a few beers, does it not?

Look down by the chinese runway there is a second kind of going across it, it is faded in and sort of looks like dirt.

Forgotten Hope did a very nice redo of the Wake map that brought it as much in line with the actuall location as possible w/o completely redoing it from scratch.

I too am hoping that all of you guys knew it was a real place and were simply pointing out how close the map looks to the real thing.

If not, let's all have a collective moment of silence for our educational system. And if you didn't know about it, go out and pick up a book or two about the battle - you won't be sorry.

I knew it was real life was just not sure where it was.
What educational system? I guess your talking about american as In england we wouldnt learn about pacific thearte despite it being pretty interesting

I didnt know it was real... that is amazing. Well at least now if i ever find myself stranded on the island i'll know my way around!
