Yes it actually gives you a much higher chance of getting the vehicle. Like a LOT more. As long as you are standing and jumping in the right place. Ill get the plane and heli everytime.

I do it to get my Jumping Service Ribbon - you have to spend 30 seconds airborne from a jump in a round.
