    hey everybody i recently installed a new hd on my computer put a fresh copy of windows in andinstalled all the latest drivers and all that goo stuff just wanted to test bf2 in single player to make sure my graphics were ok but they look like crap!!!!!!!! everything is all mushy and smugey and jagged even hough aa is on 4x but i tried something my monitor had a totally diiferent resolution tan it used to have it was like 2048 x 1024 or something when my monitor resolution used to be 800 by something icant check it to see if i fixed because my mouse broke so right now im using the handicapp mouse on my kb did i fix the problem by doing changing my monitor resolution back to normal?
    amd athlon 64 3400+2.2ghz
    1.5 gigs of ram
    ati x1600 pro 512 mb pcie(play everything on medium with some high)
    80 gig wd hd

    your default resolution is 800 x 600? errr ok...
    Try to set this resoltion in BF2 too and see if it works. Maybe your monitor doesnt support higher resolutions or something but thats not vey likely.
    If you cant even start BF2 anymore go to My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\<your Profile>\Video.con and change the line manualy like:
    VideoSettings.setResolution 800x600@60Hz

      what monitor you using? its probably that you set the resolution over the native resolution of your monitor. things looks best at native. any more than that and it might look wierd or even spoil the monitor.

          Uninstall ATI control center and Microsoft. net framework. It worked for me.
